【Webinar File】Aug 06 Addressing Automotive Functional Safety in the Context of ISO 26262 - Safety Analysis with Ansys Medini Analyze
2020.08.10
Nowadays, more and more advanced systems/applications in the automotive domain are realized or driven by embedded system/software. The consequences of potential hazards caused by malfunctioning behavior of these kind of embedded systems often leads to human injuries or even casualties. Therefore, “Functional Safety” has to be intrinsically incorporated into the product development process especially in the design phase. The core of achieving “Functional Safety” lies in the systematic identification of potential fault/failure modes of the system via established safety analysis techniques such as FMEA, FTA, etc., and the subsequent engineering effort to prevent, detect, control and mitigate failures should they occur. Ansys Medini Analyze is an integrated model-based safety analysis tool which is applied in the development of safety-critical electrical and electronic (E/E) and software (SW) controlled systems in domains like automotive, aerospace or industrial equipment. In particular, it is specifically tailored to the domain-specific standards ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and ARP4761. This webinar discusses the topic of how functional safety is addressed in the context of ISO 26262 standards and demonstrates the implementation of various safety analyses required by ISO 26262 via Ansys Medini Analyze.
